BVG's Centre of Excellence for Apprenticeship-NAPS

National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) is a scheme of the Government of India to promote apprenticeship.  Apprenticeship Training consists of Basic  Training and On-the-Job Training/Practical  Training at the workplace in the industry. It is mandated by law that any  establishment having more than 30 employees, should engage 2.5 to 15% (in MH & KA - 25%) apprentices of their total manpower, under the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 as part of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (amended  in 2014)

BVG India Limited is India’s one of the Largest Integrated Services Company with over 80,000 employees serving across the country. BVG India Ltd is authorized ESTABLISHMENT & TPA under NAPS  to serve the industrial sector & apprentice as well.

  • Financial support from the Government through NAPS (Sharing of 25% of the prescribed stipend, subject to a max Rs. 1,500/m per apprentice)

  • Under NAPS, Industries can save monthly around Rs 2000-3500 on PF, ESI, Bonus, Leave with Wages and gratuity to such Apprentices as they do not come under Labor Law.

  • Industries can engage apprentices for a period of 6-12 months depending upon the qualification of candidates.

  • Also, these apprentices cannot join any worker union.

  • This way, attrition rate, and recruitment costs can be reduced.

The Centre of Excellence will manage NAPS and support BVGs BD & Operations teams across India with its knowledge & resource base.
